Weddings Cakes of 2012

This cake was for my wonderful friends Amber and Ryan who had a beautiful wedding in upstate New York.  Cake was red velvet with a cream cheese frosting filling and vanilla buttercream frosting on the outside.

Photo from the wedding venue is a little grainy, can't wait to see the photographer's shot of it!  The color theme of their wedding was purple and yellow, which I incorporated with the small piped flowers.

This is the cake before adding real flowers at the wedding venue.  Including this photo since it is more clear than the first photo of the completed cake.

This was a lemon cake with vanilla frosting, covered in fondant.  The bride was a redhead, as indicated by the custom made wedding cake topper!  I had fun with this cake.  I love making the criss-cross pattern on fondant cakes.

  1. I had planned a DIY impromptu birthday party for my son. Even I made 3 tier cake for this birthday bash that was hosted at one of the best NYC venues. Overall, his bash was a complete package of joy and enjoyment. I would love to share those party details on my blog.
